PagerDuty is seeking a Senior Content Strategist to join its Corporate Marketing and Brand team. The role focuses on creating compelling content that communicates PagerDuty's vision of operational transformation to existing and new audiences through storytelling.
Key responsibilities include partnering with Campaigns, Product Marketing, and Communications teams to align on content themes and topics that drive brand awareness and full-funnel campaign goals. You'll create content across multiple formats—blog posts, eBooks, whitepapers, emails, scripts—spanning the platform narrative from high-level positioning to specific use cases and product benefits.
The role emphasizes writing that resonates: crafting headlines, hooks, and copy that captures attention and creates lasting impressions. You'll build collaborative relationships with PagerDuty's thought leaders, product experts, and writers, serving as a versatile editor who maintains quality and tone across written and multimedia assets.
You'll balance analytical and creative work daily, using data, analytics, and SEO/AEO tools to understand content performance, then applying those insights to improve future pieces. The role includes leveraging AI as a force multiplier to accelerate production while maintaining human judgment on tone and quality. You'll work with the Content Operations Manager and cross-functional teams including Brand, Product Marketing, Events, and Campaigns to ensure timely delivery. You'll also help establish and monitor content performance metrics to continually refine storytelling and relevance.
The position is hybrid, requiring 2 days per week in the San Francisco office. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of experience in content creation, marketing, communications, or journalism, plus a portfolio of technology writing. Preferred qualifications include B2B SaaS experience, familiarity with marketing to IT and enterprise technology buyers, technical content expertise (especially for developers/engineers), strong collaboration skills, and comfort with data-driven testing and learning.
