Zinc is a background-checking platform for HR and talent acquisition teams, building a content-led marketing engine to establish itself as a trusted authority in the HR/TA space. This role sits at the centre of that mission. You'll report to the Head of Brand & Content and manage a small, established team (Maria and Rushali) while working alongside Demand Generation, Outbound, Partnerships, Creative, Lifecycle, and Product Marketing teams. This is a player-coach role combining hands-on content creation with team leadership and strategic oversight. Key responsibilities include: **Content Creation & Campaign Planning**: Create content across multiple formats (written, video, audio, etc.), not just brief others. Own strategy, ideation, and execution. Bring fresh perspectives to traditionally dry HR/TA content and demonstrate how you've made complex topics engaging across channels. **Editorial Strategy**: Own the 12-month editorial calendar, resource planning, and production playbook. Establish how content and campaigns get made at Zinc while maintaining high creative standards. **Team Leadership**: Develop Maria and Rushali's impact, prioritize opportunities, and build the content production function into a world-class operation. **Thought Leadership**: Build content across events, press, long-form, video, social, case studies, blogs, and product marketing. Find compelling angles and hooks that help Zinc cut through with HR/TA audiences. **International Expansion**: As Zinc expands beyond the UK, evolve content and thought leadership strategies to resonate with HR/TA audiences in new markets—not just translating existing UK content. **Partnerships & PR**: Support the Head of Brand & Content on partner marketing and PR initiatives, keeping them aligned with the editorial calendar. Success metrics include: growth in branded search and content visibility; engagement and third-party recognition (press, speaking invites); on-time 12-month calendar delivery; team growth and output; measurable commercial impact (pipeline, retention, advocacy); and content traction in new international markets. **Requirements:** - Significant content marketing experience at senior level in B2B SaaS, preferably at high-growth companies - Proven ability to create content that drives measurable commercial outcomes; can clearly connect your work to business results - High standards and clear perspective on what captures audience attention - Demonstrated experience creating and operationalizing high-production content at scale (e.g., reinventing formats like case studies with documented playbooks) - Hands-on production experience across multiple mediums (written, video, audio) with a sharp eye for quality across channels and audiences - Must be a true player-coach who gets energized by hands-on execution; this is not a role for someone who views execution as beneath them - People management experience: ability to direct, support, and develop direct reports - Real ambition to grow into broader brand and content marketing leadership over time - Nice to have: experience creating content for businesses with complex, multi-person buying networks and/or regulated markets; track record of pushing beyond obvious formats while staying true to ICP
