Convene is opening a new 54,000-square-foot events venue in London's West End (One Rathbone Square) in Spring 2027, designed as a premier destination for conferences, brand showcases, luxury receptions, and bespoke gatherings. The venue combines signature hospitality with advanced production technology for immersive experiences. As Senior Conference & Events Manager, you will lead the opening team and shape the culture, guest experience, and long-term success of this flagship venue. You'll manage all aspects of events operations, balancing strategic vision with meticulous attention to detail. **Key Responsibilities:** *Day-to-Day Operations:* - Overall responsibility for Events Operations and direct management of the Events Operations team and Conference Services Team - Oversee staff rotas and ensure effective communication across all front-of-house departments - Manage external cleaning contracts with monthly reviews and consistent monitoring - Drive yearly, monthly, and unplanned maintenance requirements - Monitor and review front-of-house systems, implementing improvements - Ensure Health & Safety compliance across the venue - Maintain highest standards of delivery and customer service in line with company performance policies *Guest Experience & Client Relations:* - Deliver exceptional customer service across all events - Seek and monitor client feedback, maintaining detailed records - Develop and implement action plans based on feedback - Handle complaints professionally and professionally - Target 90% Venue Verdict customer feedback score and 9-10 Net Promoter Score - Maintain excellent client communication to ensure unforgettable experiences *Financial & Commercial Management:* - Understand and support the company business plan, ensuring FOH targets align with overall objectives - Implement and maintain tracking and stock control systems with effective rotation and monthly counts - Control purchase order systems with operations - Manage invoicing and inventory - Oversee labour management to ensure optimal staffing - Contribute to running a profitable venue aligned with company vision **Requirements:** - 3+ years leadership experience in event venue management, client/membership experience, hospitality, or related field - Strong operational management skills with ability to understand and manage Client Service and Conference Service departments - Proven ability to build and maintain excellent teams - Commercial and financial acumen - Excellent client management and communication skills - Ability to balance big-picture strategy with attention to detail
