Tabby is the GCC's leading shopping and payments platform, operating across Saudi Arabia and the UAE with 65,000+ merchants including global brands like Apple, IKEA, Adidas, and Shein. The company is now launching a local presence in Kuwait and seeking a Senior Commercial Manager to serve as the on-ground commercial representative and sole point of contact for the market.
In this role, you will be Tabby's local face to merchants and partners in Kuwait, acting as an escalation point for relationship-intensive conversations and opportunities that require in-person presence. You will not be closing deals in isolation; instead, you'll orchestrate closely with UAE-based account management, sales, and partnerships teams who own day-to-day deal execution. Your responsibilities include building strong relationships with key merchants, identifying gaps and untapped opportunities in the merchant portfolio, evangelizing Tabby's brand through events and networking, and serving as a trusted local advisor who can repair relationships and resolve merchant concerns.
You will own accountability for GMV (and potentially revenue) targets for the Kuwait market, achieved through collaboration and influence rather than direct sales execution. This is a market-launch role with significant autonomy to shape how Tabby shows up for Kuwaiti shoppers and sellers from day one, backed by the company's proven regional scale and technology.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years of experience in commercial roles (account management, sales, or partnerships), ideally with exposure to online and/or offline retail
- Understanding of e-commerce sales funnels: merchant customer acquisition, conversion, and growth
- Strong external communication skills and ability to build relationships at all organizational levels
- Proven project management and ability to execute through collaboration rather than direct control
- Commercial mindset with genuine curiosity about business growth
- Relationship-driven leadership with ability to navigate difficult conversations and consultative selling
- Comfort operating at fast pace with ambiguity in a new market launch environment
