nPlan is a Series B startup backed by GV (Google Ventures) and Demis Hassabis (DeepMind founder) that uses machine learning and large construction project datasets to forecast outcomes and reduce risk in infrastructure development. The Senior Client Engineer role bridges domain expertise in construction project controls with software implementation and AI adoption.
You will serve as a trusted advisor to nPlan's most important clients, helping them maximize value from the platform. Key responsibilities include: coaching clients on advanced features (including LLM-based tools), managing strategic product deployment projects, building and maintaining strong relationships within client organizations, and collaborating with the commercial team on engagement and expansion initiatives. You'll also work closely with Product Managers and AI Engineers, serving as a domain expert in the LLM evaluation cycle to ensure accurate analyses.
The role requires approximately 3+ years of experience in planning, risk management, PMO, or project management on major construction projects. You must have deep knowledge of large construction schedules (Primavera P6), how they're built, and how to analyze them. You should have demonstrated success implementing strategic projects that significantly improved outcomes for organizations, and a passion for using technology to transform the construction industry. Experience with software implementation in construction, LLM applications, or working in software companies is valued but not required.
You'll work remotely with flexibility, but will attend monthly client visits and team meetings at the London office, plus opportunities to visit international clients. The role offers potential for line management of junior client engineers as you grow. nPlan values learning, radical truthfulness, and ambitious execution. The company is just over 50 people and scaling rapidly, offering competitive salary, generous equity, uncapped holiday, private medical insurance, and a personal learning budget.
