Norm AI is an agentic law company that has pioneered Legal Engineering—a process enabling lawyers to build and supervise domain-specific AI agents using proprietary no-code software tools. The company serves a client base with $30 trillion in assets under management and operates both a technology platform (Norm AI) and an affiliated AI-native law firm (Norm Law, LLP). You will be the first designer on the Marketing team's Design function, reporting to the Design Director. This is a key individual contributor role with real ownership over brand and design systems. The company recently completed brand refreshes for both Norm AI and Norm Law, and you'll play a central role in evolving their distinct visual identities across all touchpoints. Key responsibilities include: shaping brand consistency across identity, marketing collateral, events, social content, and internal communications for both entities; translating marketing strategy into compelling visual execution from concept through delivery; building and maintaining design systems, brand guidelines, component libraries, and templates; serving as the go-to expert for web design and CMS work, building responsive pages and partnering with developers; and managing multiple concurrent projects across formats and mediums while communicating proactively with cross-functional partners. You'll need 5+ years of brand design experience with a strong portfolio demonstrating range across identity systems, campaigns, collateral, and digital experiences. Core requirements include mastery of Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and prototyping tools; experience building and maintaining brand guidelines and component libraries; working knowledge of modern CMS platforms; strong collaboration and communication skills; and a self-starter mindset balancing big-picture thinking with hands-on execution. Nice-to-haves include experience evolving brands across multiple entities, familiarity with AI-powered design tools, knowledge of legal tech or enterprise categories, and experience designing for both consumer and B2B audiences. The company emphasizes AI fluency across all team members—you should actively use AI in day-to-day work and be prepared to discuss concrete examples of tools, workflows, and outcomes throughout the interview process.
