We are seeking a Senior Backend Engineer II to join a very early-stage initiative building an internal AI agent platform. This is a foundational role shaping a transformative project from the ground up that will scale across multiple business areas. You will design architectures at the intersection of large-scale distributed services and AI technologies, working with LLMs and agent frameworks to drive automation and innovation across the company.
Key responsibilities include developing the backend for the AI agent platform and surrounding microservices, participating in architecture decisions and technology selection, staying current with AI agent frameworks and technologies, optimizing platform components for agent creation and performance under load, and collaborating with platform clients to gather feedback and build a user-friendly product.
Required qualifications: 5+ years of backend engineering experience with at least 2 years each in Golang and Python. Strong experience building scalable, distributed systems and high-load architectures. Solid understanding of backend tools including PostgreSQL, Redis, Kubernetes, Google Cloud Platform, GitLab, and microservices architecture. Passion for clean, testable, maintainable code. Proactive mindset with ability to work independently. Strong English communication (B2 level or higher).
Desired qualifications include experience with AI agent frameworks (Langchain, Langgraph, ADK), building or integrating LLM-based features and agent-centric architectures, ML experience including model learning/evaluation and production implementation, and experience developing internal instruments, automations, and CRM systems.
