Paraform is an AI-powered recruiting marketplace connecting companies with specialized recruiters and AI agents to fill roles faster and more accurately. The company 8x'd revenue last year and is backed by top-tier investors including Scale, Felicis, and founders from YouTube, Instacart, and Canva. You'll be the analyst behind Paraform's marketplace economics, owning the financial models and analysis that drive pricing, recruiter incentives, and unit economics decisions. This is a builder role where you'll develop the analytical infrastructure leadership relies on for strategic decisions. Key responsibilities: - Maintain and evolve the operating model with the VP Finance, keeping drivers current (revenue, GMV, headcount, OpEx) and supporting annual planning and quarterly reforecasts - Model marketplace levers including recruiter incentives, retainers, pricing, take rates, and fee structures; build analysis behind each decision and track post-launch performance - Own unit economics including GMV, net revenue, take rate, recruiter payouts, cohort behavior, LTV:CAC, and payback periods - Run monthly budget vs. actuals reviews with the accounting team, providing clear variance explanations to leadership - Build the metrics layer by partnering with RevOps and BizOps to define metrics and create executive dashboards - Automate recurring reporting using AI tools across the finance function You'll report to the VP Finance and work closely with the accounting team. Your work goes directly to the executive team and board. Requirements: - 3–5 years in FP&A, strategic finance, investment banking, PE, or top-tier consulting, with at least 1–2 years building models that an operating team actually used - Expert-level spreadsheet modeling: three-statement models, driver-based forecasts, and scenario analysis - Ability to present numbers to executives and translate ambiguous questions into clear answers - High ownership, low ego, and fast execution - Bonus experience: marketplace, fintech, or usage-based business background; Series B–C fundraise exposure; hands-on with planning tools (Pigment, Anaplan) or BI/SQL (Metabase, Looker) Ideal candidate profile: - Experience in multi-sided/marketplace businesses - Has owned analysis of marketing subsidies or incentive programs - Has built and defended take-rate or pricing models at a marketplace - Has run monthly BvA reviews where department leads explained variances - Has worked with raw transaction data (SQL or exports), not just finance system outputs - Has participated in company fundraising: modeling, data room preparation, and diligence
