Checkmarx is the leader in application security, serving over 1,800 customers including 40% of Fortune 100 companies. The Security Research group is seeking a Senior Application Security Analyst to join the Braga office.
In this role, you will develop deep expertise in application vulnerabilities and secure code analysis across the Checkmarx product family (SAST, DAST, SCA, KICS, and others). You'll conduct in-depth security research to understand how vulnerabilities occur in both open-source and proprietary code, contributing directly to improving the accuracy and effectiveness of Checkmarx's security engines.
Key responsibilities include:
- Analyzing and understanding vulnerabilities at the code level
- Contributing to the improvement of security analysis engines
- Writing scripts and leveraging AI to automate and enhance internal processes
- Supporting the development of new product features
- Staying current with the latest application security trends and techniques
- Collaborating with Product Management, R&D, and other cross-functional teams
You will be part of a specialized Security Research group focused on delivering more accurate and comprehensive security results. This is a hands-on technical role ideal for someone passionate about application security who wants to directly impact the security posture of enterprise customers worldwide.
