ezCater is the #1 food tech platform for workplaces in the US, enabling organizations to manage food needs and order from over 125,000 restaurants nationwide. The Senior API Specialist plays a key role on the Partner Solutions team, owning the partner-facing experience for ezCater's GraphQL Orders API and growing Menus, Delivery, and Store Hours API surfaces. You will own API onboarding and partner support, guiding external partners through setup—including API-user and token generation, subscriber and subscription creation, and webhook configuration—through testing, launch readiness, and early-life support. You'll review Menu API requirements and coordinate with internal teams to ensure menu structure allows orders to inject cleanly into partner systems. You'll support partners through Zendesk, Slack, email, and live troubleshooting sessions, engaging regularly with vendors across North America. As the senior escalation point, you'll serve as the go-to technical resource for complex API issues including payload mapping, authentication errors, webhook delivery failures, and order-flow issues. You'll reproduce and isolate issues using Postman and GraphQL, inspecting payloads and logs to identify root causes, and know when to drive resolution independently versus escalate to Engineering with well-documented reproduction steps. You'll partner with Product, Engineering, PMO, Menus, and Operations teams to investigate issues and improve the overall API partner experience. You'll drive reliability and scale by monitoring trends in API tickets and incidents, identifying recurring failure patterns, and recommending process, tooling, or documentation improvements. You'll use observability and analytics tools (SumoLogic, Sigma) to surface risks early and improve visibility into integration health, helping shape scalable processes as API volume grows. You'll shape how the team supports the API by defining and improving support playbooks, troubleshooting guides, Zendesk macros, and developer documentation. You'll provide technical training and enablement to internal teammates and external partners, support partner communications and migration planning as the platform evolves, and mentor teammates as a senior technical resource across the Integrations group.
