DeepL is seeking a Senior Analyst for GTM Strategy to own the design and execution of territory strategy across the global sales organization. This is a strategic role within the Sales team, reporting into the Sales leadership structure.
Key responsibilities include:
- Own territory design globally, including coverage models, segmentation, and account assignments across the annual planning cycle, working directly with sales managers and regional Sales Strategy Business Partners.
- Build and monitor territory and ownership scenarios in Salesforce, Google Sheets, and Databricks, tracking performance metrics to identify what's working, what's selling where, and where rebalancing is needed.
- Develop target-account strategies grounded in product capabilities, partnering with Product, Data Analytics & Insights, and Marketing Operations to refine the Ideal Customer Profile by region and optimize coverage.
- Own sales policies and Rules of Engagement, defining where reps can sell, how ownership decisions are made, and enforcement mechanisms. This includes rebuilding existing policies to be more robust.
- Automate manual operational work using AI tools like Claude and partnering with Systems and Operations teams to shift the role from ~40% operational to fully strategic.
- Maintain data integrity in Salesforce and related systems, serving as the strategy voice in roadmap reviews to prevent changes from breaking territories or reporting. Handle day-to-day account reallocations as headcount changes occur.
Required qualifications:
- 3–5 years of experience in Sales Operations, Revenue Operations, Go-to-Market Strategy, or sales planning. Experience and ownership matter more than tenure.
- Strong analytical skills with comfort navigating data across Sheets, Salesforce, and Databricks to test hypotheses and deliver clear, defensible recommendations.
- Solid understanding of Salesforce architecture—how accounts, territories, ownership, and data interconnect. This is not a technical admin role, but you must hold your own in technical conversations. Hands-on backend experience is a bonus.
- Ability to influence across teams without direct authority, using insight, evidence, and constructive challenge to drive change.
- Bias toward automation; experience using AI tools like Claude to eliminate repetitive work, or genuine appetite to learn.
- Proactive problem-solving mindset: you identify issues, determine solutions, and execute without needing all answers upfront.
- Comfort with intense planning cycles and real deadlines; planning season is demanding, with calmer periods for building toward the next cycle.
- Experience in tech at scale is a plus—exposure to best practices you can bring to DeepL.
- Collaborative across regions and functions, with energy and drive to partner effectively with Sales, Product, Revenue Intelligence, and Marketing Operations.
