Okta is seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer to drive partner-led growth across the Asia-Pacific and Japan (APJ) region. In this role, you will be the trusted technical advisor to Okta's strategic partners and global system integrators, helping them integrate identity and access management (IAM) solutions into their go-to-market strategies and customer offerings.
You will build and maintain deep technical relationships with assigned partners, working alongside Okta's Partner Account Teams to drive incremental revenue and expand Okta's market presence through the channel. Your responsibilities include developing domain expertise in partners' focus areas, gathering and translating partner feedback to inform product roadmap decisions, and delivering technical training through workshops, product demos, and best-practice guidance.
Key activities include fielding technical inquiries and RFP responses, providing oversight during partner sales cycles, establishing thought leadership on Okta products and emerging technologies, and supporting the development of partner Centers of Excellence (COEs). You will travel up to 25% to support partner events, industry conferences, and customer engagements.
Success is measured by direct and influenced revenue growth, partner-developed GTM solution offerings brought to market, and growth in partner enablement and resource certifications.
You bring 5+ years of pre-sales engineering experience, hands-on implementation experience with Okta and/or Auth0, and deep knowledge of the IAM/IDaaS competitive landscape. You have experience enabling partner ecosystems in cloud security or cybersecurity, strong presentation skills, and technical fluency with identity protocols (OAuth, SAML, LDAP, OIDC). Preferred qualifications include development experience (web, mobile, or backend), cloud platform expertise (AWS, GCP, Azure), and a degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
Note: This role requires in-person onboarding at Okta's San Francisco headquarters during your first week.
