Prophecy is building an AI-native data prep and analytics platform that helps enterprises transform raw data into production-ready datasets and insights. The company works with leading organizations to simplify data preparation, analysis, and operationalization while maintaining governance and security. As Senior Product Manager, you will own a product area end-to-end, driving strategy and execution across the full data-to-insights-to-decisions lifecycle. You'll operate as a builder and owner, not just a planner, balancing deep customer understanding with strong technical intuition. Key responsibilities include: **Product Strategy & Ownership**: Own and evolve the roadmap for your product area over 1–3 quarter horizons, translating vision into clear initiatives aligned with company strategy. Evaluate opportunities based on impact, effort, and strategic fit, thinking beyond features to how capabilities fit into the broader data ecosystem. **Customer Insight & Discovery**: Develop deep understanding of analyst workflows across data preparation, transformation, and analysis. Run continuous discovery through customer interviews, usage data, sales signals, and win/loss analysis. Understand enterprise constraints including governance and compliance. **AI-Native Product Development**: Use AI tools (LLMs, copilots, workflows) as core to product development. Build lightweight prototypes to validate ideas before full specifications. Identify where AI-driven capabilities can meaningfully improve workflows while ensuring reliability and explainability. **Product Development & Execution**: Work closely with engineering and design to deliver high-quality capabilities. Write clear, structured specifications grounded in data and user insight. Define success metrics, track adoption and impact, and maintain high bars for usability and reliability. **Cross-Functional Leadership**: Align engineering, design, sales, and customer success around shared outcomes. Communicate product direction through clear documentation and structured decision-making. Resolve ambiguity quickly to maintain momentum. **Operational Ownership**: Own the operational health of your product area, including performance monitoring, feature adoption, and issue triage. Establish repeatable processes that increase execution speed. Required qualifications: 5+ years of product management in data platforms, analytics, developer tools, or enterprise software. Strong understanding of data preparation, analytics workflows, and modern data infrastructure. Experience working closely with engineering teams on technical products. Hands-on familiarity with AI-powered products or intelligent systems. Ability to translate complex problems into clear specifications. Experience with APIs, SDKs, CLIs, or developer-facing systems. Strong written and verbal communication.
