Multiverse is Europe's first EdTech double unicorn, valued at $2.1bn, offering upskilling apprenticeships in AI, data, and tech skills to professionals across 1,500+ partner companies. The company recently closed a $70M strategic funding round led by Schroders Capital.
You'll join the AI Transformation team, a small, high-velocity squad tasked with rebuilding how Multiverse operates function-by-function and establishing AI-first practices across the organization. This team is also building a product to take to market as a transformation partner for customers. The structure is flat, cross-functional, and action-oriented.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Own and deliver end-to-end AI systems (agents and supporting platforms). You'll identify user problems, break them down, and build AI solutions in close partnership with adopting teams.
• Design context and retrieval strategies, including retrieval pipelines, conversation memory, summarization, chunking logic, and role-based access control to ensure context is useful and permission-aware.
• Build evaluation frameworks with automated eval pipelines and human-in-the-loop review processes to validate AI system performance.
• Design tool integrations (MCPs, APIs, data contracts, error handling) that enable agents to reliably access systems and context.
• Influence technical direction by contributing to architectural decisions, backing opinions with evidence, and proposing better approaches.
You bring production AI agent engineering experience, having shipped AI systems serving real users at scale. You understand the engineering challenges unique to agent systems: context management, model selection and routing, cost engineering, tool use, agent augmentation, and evaluation. You have a product mindset—identifying real user pain, understanding requirements, and building pragmatic, high-impact solutions under ambiguity. You work full-stack (LLM integration, backend services, data pipelines, frontend) and communicate technical concepts clearly to engineers and business colleagues. You're fluent in AI-assisted development and can mentor others.
