Hinge Health is seeking a Senior AI Developer to join the computer vision engineering team in Montreal. You will design, build, and operate cloud infrastructure and deployment systems for next-generation multi-modal models and reasoning agents serving millions of active users.
Key responsibilities include deploying and operating LLMs, VLMs, and multi-modal models at scale with high reliability and low latency; building robust validation and evaluation pipelines for reasoning quality, hallucination detection, and policy compliance; developing reasoning agent infrastructure including orchestration, state management, and guardrails; establishing comprehensive telemetry and observability systems; optimizing reliability, performance, and cost across the platform; and implementing security controls for responsible production AI use.
You will collaborate closely with ML scientists, CV engineers, platform engineers, and SRE teams to translate research systems into secure, scalable product capabilities. The role focuses on productionizing frontier models and expanding the CV Engineering team's cloud-native deployment capabilities.
Required qualifications: Bachelor's in Computer Science or related field; 3+ years developing and operating cloud-based services and APIs in production (ideally AWS); experience deploying and operating production ML systems including LLMs/VLMs with release management and monitoring; proficiency with observability tooling (monitoring, logging, tracing, alerting); and demonstrated CI/CD and production deployment workflow experience.
Preferred qualifications include agentic development workflows, LLM/agent tooling (LangSmith, LangChain, LangGraph, MLflow), GPU-backed inference systems, hosted model API integration (Anthropic, Gemini, Bedrock), validation and telemetry systems for generative AI, containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS/EKS), workflow orchestration (Temporal, Step Functions), Databricks experience, IAM/security controls, and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform).
