StockX is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its Revenue & Platform Accounting team in Bangalore. This role focuses on the order-to-cash cycle for StockX's global marketplace, which handles high-volume, multi-currency transactions across sneakers, apparel, collectibles, electronics, and more.
Key responsibilities include:
- Executing end-to-end monthly close activities: journal entry preparation and posting, payment processor reconciliation, and balance sheet account reconciliation
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams (Customer Service, Inventory Control, Transportation) to resolve exceptions and streamline processes
- Supporting external audits with schedules and documentation
- Partnering with Data Engineering and Product teams to implement accounting changes from platform updates, designing data flows and flagging exposures
- Participating in special projects, user acceptance testing, and ad-hoc analysis
- Contributing to the evolution of the Platform Accounting team as a global function
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with 3+ years of progressive US GAAP accounting experience
- Strong foundation in US GAAP, particularly ASC 606 (revenue recognition); ability to transition from IFRS or Ind AS
- Proficiency in Excel and data visualization tools for analyzing high-volume, multi-currency transactions
- Excellent English communication and ability to work across international time zones
- Comfort in ambiguous, high-growth environments and process-building
- Interest in leveraging AI and automation tools for efficiency while maintaining accuracy and data security
Preferred qualifications:
- Big 4 accounting firm or marketplace experience
- CA/CMA certification or in-progress
- Payment processing platform reconciliation and exception resolution experience
- Track record of communicating accounting impacts to non-finance stakeholders
