As Senior Accountant, you'll own critical aspects of Legora's accounting function in a high-growth, fast-paced environment. You'll partner closely with Finance leadership and cross-functional teams to deliver accurate, timely financial information that drives business decisions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Owning and supporting monthly and quarterly close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and flux analysis
- Managing assigned operational accounting areas such as cash, accruals, payroll, capitalized commissions, fixed assets, or revenue-related balances
- Preparing financial analyses and reporting packages for Finance leadership and FP&A teams
- Partnering with FP&A to ensure alignment between accounting results, forecasts, and business drivers
- Improving and automating close processes, internal controls, and reporting workflows
- Maintaining accounting policies and procedures in accordance with US GAAP
- Supporting audit and review processes with documentation and auditor inquiries
- Collaborating cross-functionally on business initiatives and financial reporting accuracy
You bring 4+ years of progressive accounting experience in high-growth or dynamic environments, ideally from technology startups or scale-ups. You have strong US GAAP knowledge, hands-on month-end close experience, and excel at owning work end-to-end with strong cross-functional communication skills. Nice-to-haves include Big 4 or high-growth tech company background, CPA certification, NetSuite/FloQast experience, revenue accounting exposure, or interest in automation and AI-enabled workflows.
The role is based in Legora's Union Square office in NYC, designed for ambitious builders with company-provided lunch daily. You'll collaborate with global teams across Europe, APAC, and North America on meaningful work that shapes how thousands of lawyers use AI daily.
