Antithesis is seeking a Senior Accountant to own financial close, reporting, and compliance functions for a well-funded software reliability platform company. The role focuses on general ledger management, account reconciliations, and audit support, requiring someone who takes ownership of accurate financial records and treats clean financials as a craft.
Key responsibilities include managing month-end and year-end close activities with journal entries and reconciliations; applying GAAP standards including ASC 606 revenue recognition for the SaaS business model; preparing financial statements and supporting schedules; supporting internal controls and documenting accounting policies; coordinating with external auditors during annual audits and interim reviews; assisting with tax compliance for federal and state filings; and identifying opportunities to improve close efficiency and accuracy.
The ideal candidate brings 4+ years of accounting experience with a public accounting background preferred. CPA certification or active candidacy is preferred. Strong working knowledge of GAAP is essential, particularly revenue recognition for software companies. Experience with ERP systems, preferably NetSuite, is required. The role demands high attention to detail, ability to manage multiple deadlines, and a self-starter mentality to operate with limited direction in a fast-moving environment.
