Scentbird is hiring a Senior Financial Systems Analyst to bridge Finance, Accounting, and Technology teams. This role sits within the Technology department, reporting to the Director of Enterprise Systems, and serves as the functional expert for financial processes in NetSuite.
You will be the connection between Finance and Accounting teams who use NetSuite daily and the technology team—including internal administration, managed services partners, and in-house developers. While not the primary NetSuite administrator, you'll be part of the administration team. Your core responsibility is understanding business processes deeply enough to define what needs to change, drive work to the right team, validate results, and ensure end-users can perform their jobs effectively.
Key responsibilities include:
**Business Process & Analysis:**
- Serve as functional expert for financial processes: record-to-report, procure-to-pay, revenue recognition, inventory, and cost accounting
- Gather and challenge requirements from Finance and Accounting, translating them into functional specifications with clear, testable acceptance criteria
- Document current-state processes and identify automation opportunities to shorten the close and eliminate manual work
- Own user acceptance testing: build test plans, coordinate business testing, and sign off before production deployment
**AI & Intelligent Automation:**
- Identify and deliver AI-driven improvements across financial processes—document capture, coding, anomaly detection, and reconciliation automation
- Maintain AI fluency and proactively apply AI to automate manual finance processes
- Partner with technology teams to implement intelligent automation solutions
