Salary: USD 212,666 - 312,500 / annual
Dataminr is seeking a Senior Account Manager to drive new business and expand its footprint across Department of Homeland Security (DHS) agencies and components. This quota-carrying federal sales role focuses on translating mission-critical DHS needs into technology solutions while navigating the full federal acquisition lifecycle.
You will serve as the face of Dataminr to DHS stakeholders, leveraging established relationships and a proven track record of closing multi-year federal contracts. The role involves developing strategic, consultative relationships with federal decision-makers, understanding their goals, and seamlessly integrating Dataminr's AI-powered intelligence platform into their workflows.
Key responsibilities include:
- Partnering with internal teams to develop customized onboarding, training, and usage plans for each customer
- Developing and executing growth strategies to drive user acquisition, retention, and revenue expansion within existing accounts
- Managing opportunity pipelines with accurate forecasting and attaining quarterly booking targets
- Increasing account penetration through existing and new product offerings
- Collaborating with VARs and partner sales agencies
- Traveling domestically as needed (approximately 25%)
Dataminr's platform analyzes billions of public data inputs across text, image, video, audio, and sensor data in 150+ languages, providing organizations with early signals of emerging risks and threats. The company is trusted by two-thirds of the Fortune 50 and half of the Fortune 100.
Required qualifications: 4-6 years of federal sales experience selling technology or SaaS solutions, with proven success selling large complex deals to DHS. You must demonstrate a track record of hitting/exceeding quota, identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities, and communicating complex concepts to diverse audiences. Strong problem-solving, self-motivation, and presentation skills are essential.
