Tacto is a Sequoia and Index Ventures-backed industrial AI company building the intelligence layer for manufacturing procurement. This is the first dedicated Account Manager role, offering the opportunity to build and scale the expansion motion from the ground up.
You will own the full expansion lifecycle: identifying upsell, cross-sell, and strategic pricing opportunities within Tacto's existing customer base; building business cases; running negotiations; and closing deals. You'll work cross-functionally with Sales, Customer Success, Product, and Finance to spot growth opportunities and translate them into revenue.
Key responsibilities include: owning deals end-to-end from identification through contract management; developing deep account intelligence by mapping stakeholders and understanding customer dynamics; coordinating across functions to drive expansion; building accurate forecasting and planning processes; translating product roadmap into expansion conversations; and establishing repeatable processes and playbooks as the function scales.
You'll be measured on revenue impact, not customer satisfaction metrics. This role requires building your own pipeline, establishing forecast discipline, and defining much of the process itself—there is no handed-to-you playbook. Success means turning module adoption into signed expansion revenue.
The role offers significant upside: if executed well, expansion could become Tacto's largest new revenue lever within 2-3 years. Strong performance in the first 12-18 months positions you for a larger book of accounts, leadership of a growing team, or transition into Sales or Customer Success leadership.
