Mixpanel is the leading product intelligence and analytics platform trusted by 29,000+ companies. The company is building a vertical go-to-market motion to organize enterprise sales by industry, enabling teams to sell in the buyer's language with industry-specific use cases and proof points.
You'll own net-new enterprise pipeline and expansion within an assigned industry vertical across North American markets. This is a full-cycle enterprise sales role where you'll source, qualify, and close new Mixpanel customers and new business units within existing accounts. You'll run deals from first meeting to close using MEDDPICC methodology, while also driving expansion alongside Renewal Managers and Customer Value Managers.
Key responsibilities include: building deep vertical expertise and shaping discovery questions, messaging, and competitive positioning that peers rely on; learning the language, buyer personas, and use cases of your vertical; asking credible technical discovery questions about prospects' data and analytics maturity; partnering closely with Sales Engineering on technical validation and demos; maintaining accurate SFDC pipeline and forecast data; and feeding field learnings back into team playbooks.
You'll also partner with Marketing and Product Marketing to pressure-test vertical messaging, provide your manager with deal signals (volume, win rates, competitive patterns) to support vertical scaling, and partner with Enablement on training as the vertical matures.
The role suits someone comfortable building in ambiguity—the vertical model is still maturing and playbooks are being built in real time. You'll have the opportunity to shape go-to-market strategy and influence how the team sells into your market.
Required: strong track record of full-cycle SaaS sales (SMB to enterprise), experience selling into a specific vertical or ability to build vertical fluency quickly, comfort with ambiguity, strong discovery and qualification skills, experience with analytics/data/technical products, and ability to run credible technical discovery with technical buyers.
Bonus: experience partnering with Sales Engineering, track record of shaping go-to-market strategy, mentoring peers, and advanced SFDC/forecasting familiarity.
