NerdWallet Small Business is seeking a Senior Account Executive to drive sales and provide expert guidance to small business owners seeking financing solutions. In this role, you will manage the complete sales cycle—from initial outreach through deal closure—while serving as a trusted advisor to entrepreneurs navigating their financial options.
You'll become deeply versed in NerdWallet's product suite and lending network, confidently consulting with business owners to identify the best loan options for their specific needs. You'll work cross-functionally with lenders in our network to identify opportunities and facilitate connections between lenders and small business owners. Your success will be measured by consistently exceeding monthly sales goals and maintaining strong pipeline management against key performance metrics.
The role is based in New York with an in-office expectation, though after completing training (typically months 4-6), you'll have flexibility to work remotely up to 20% of the month from anywhere in the continental US, provided you meet performance standards. You'll thrive in a fast-paced inside sales environment, managing multiple priorities autonomously while maintaining excellent communication with diverse business owners. The ideal candidate brings 2-4 years of proven sales experience, strong pipeline management skills, resilience in challenging conversations, and a growth mindset that embraces feedback and continuous improvement.
Compensation includes $28.85/hour base plus monthly bonuses tied to sales goals, with total earning potential of $85,000/year in base plus bonus. Additional incentives include uncapped commission, sales milestone bonuses starting at $2,000, and eligibility for sales contests. Benefits include comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage; flexible vacation; mental health support; 401(k) with 4% match; paid volunteer time; and access to financial planning services through a Certified Financial Planner.
