Salary: USD 230,000 - 430,000 / annual
Cohere is a leading enterprise AI company building foundation models and end-to-end products for businesses. As Senior Account Executive for Latin America Federal, you will own the full sales cycle targeting Federal Civilian and Defense Departments and Agencies across Latin America, based in the United States with 25-35% travel.
You will drive net-new customer acquisition through targeted outbound activity and senior leader engagement, developing and executing a regional sales plan while prioritizing accounts in collaboration with leadership. Acting as a trusted advisor to public sector customers, you'll understand their goals and shape AI solutions delivering measurable value. You'll work closely with channel partners including distributors, VARs, and system integrators to scale outreach and maximize customer success.
Leverage senior-level relationships with executives and government decision-makers to drive strategic opportunities and long-term partnerships. Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams on enterprise and public-sector solutions, and partner with SDRs and Marketing to drive top-of-funnel activity and territory growth. Own discovery, technical and business validation, proof-of-concept, procurement, and deal closure within a team-selling environment.
Required: 10+ years direct public sector sales experience in Latin America with proven track record closing $3M+ annual quotas. Deep knowledge of federal procurement cycles and decision-making processes, established network in Latin America including federal agencies and prime contractors, and experience selling SaaS, AI/ML, or enterprise software to government clients. High tolerance for ambiguity, strong organizational skills managing multiple stakeholders, creativity and technical acumen for structuring partnerships, and excellent communication skills. Fluency in English and Spanish and/or Portuguese required. Must be based in the United States with willingness to travel.
