Upvest is a fintech infrastructure company on a mission to make investing as easy as spending money. The company provides an Investment API that enables fintechs and financial institutions to offer investment products without building from scratch. Upvest partners with Europe's leading brands including Revolut, N26, DKB, and Raisin, and is backed by €280M in funding from BlackRock, Tencent, Sapphire Ventures, and Bessemer Venture Partners. You will join the Growth team as a Senior Account Executive focused on building out Upvest's Embedded Investments segment. Embedded finance represents a €100bn+ opportunity in the EU and UK by 2030, with investments emerging as the next frontier beyond payments and lending. Non-traditional financial services platforms—payment apps, online retailers, social networks, telecoms, spend management platforms, and AI companies—are seeking to offer investment products to their millions of users as a new revenue stream and engagement lever. In this role, you will work directly with the Director of Growth to open this market for Upvest. You will own the full sales cycle from prospecting through contract signature, building pipeline across Europe by identifying and opening platforms outside traditional financial services. You will translate Upvest's Investment API capabilities into language that resonates with product, growth, and commercial stakeholders at target accounts. You will also shape Upvest's embedded proposition by collaborating with Product, Solutions Engineering, and Partnerships teams to define what plug-and-play investment infrastructure means for clients without in-house investment expertise. Key responsibilities include: owning the cross-functional sales cycle to meet or exceed targets; building embedded pipeline by identifying non-traditional financial services platforms; consultatively understanding client needs and developing compelling sales materials; shaping the embedded proposition with internal teams; building and maintaining strong client and industry relationships; and enabling seamless client onboarding through effective communication with the implementations team. This is an individual contributor role with high autonomy, working in a fast-moving, expanding market. The Growth team emphasizes client-centric work, strong feedback practices, and a relaxed, fun atmosphere. REQUIREMENTS: - 2–4+ years of experience in sales, partnerships, or business development in a B2B environment, with experience working with API-based products and exposure to financial services; OR 2–4+ years at a specialized financial services consultancy working on IT infrastructure projects, ideally in investment services - Proven track record of successfully taking complex commercial or partnership deals from initial discussions through signature and launch, with consistent quota attainment - Seeking an individual contributor role; genuinely motivated by selling and closing deals rather than managing a sales team - Previous experience in financial services with strong interest in software- and infrastructure-as-a-service products (BaaS, embedded payments); genuine curiosity about investments and securities trading - Demonstrated expertise with B2B sales methodologies (solution/consultative selling) and industry best practices; client-centric approach - Data- and KPI-driven mindset; ability to apply clear qualification frameworks; active use of AI to increase coverage and throughput - Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across product, growth, legal, risk, and compliance teams; willingness to challenge assumptions - Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills; ability to create trust, handle objections, and present compelling pitches - Hands-on, proactive ownership of complex projects with consistent communication and diligent documentation NICE-TO-HAVE: - Experience selling to banks or wealth managers - Thorough understanding of investment industry trends and competitive landscape - Strong professional network in the investment industry - Location in Berlin or remote Germany with fluent German (C2 or native)
