Material Bank is the world's largest material marketplace for the architecture and design industry, operating in 37 countries and connecting thousands of designers with tens of thousands of materials from leading brands daily. As Senior Account Executive, you will drive Material Bank's growth by acquiring new brand partners and building long-term relationships with both emerging and established material manufacturers and brands. You will leverage industry credibility, established relationships, and a consultative approach to demonstrate how Material Bank delivers value through brand visibility, seamless sampling, and data-driven insights. This is a senior, external-facing role ideal for someone with deep knowledge of the architecture and design landscape who understands how brands sell into the design community. You thrive in face-to-face conversations, on-site meetings, and industry events, earning trust and moving opportunities forward. The role is remote (East Coast-based) with at least 50% travel required. Key responsibilities include: owning new brand partner acquisition and managing the full sales cycle from initial conversation through contract execution; leading consultative sales conversations that align brand goals with Material Bank's platform capabilities; developing deep, trusted relationships with brands, executives, and decision-makers across the A&D ecosystem; maintaining ongoing engagement with partners and ensuring strong onboarding and long-term success; contributing field insights to shape sales strategy and platform enhancements; partnering with internal teams to understand member needs and refine targeting strategy; and staying informed on industry trends and competitive dynamics. You bring 5+ years of experience in the architecture and design industry, ideally within a material manufacturer, design-focused organization, trade association, or adjacent sales role. You have an established network and strong reputation within the A&D and brand manufacturing community, strong executive presence, proven success in relationship-driven consultative selling with mid-market and enterprise organizations, and a consistent track record of owning full sales cycles and meeting quota. You demonstrate excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills, operate independently in fast-paced environments, and have genuine passion for the A&D community with a customer-first mindset.
