As a Senior Account Executive for Acquiring, you will drive significant revenue growth by cultivating and managing relationships with large, complex Enterprise accounts across the merchant acquiring ecosystem, including independent software vendors (ISVs), payment facilitators (PayFacs), merchants of record (MOR), and independent sales organizations (ISOs). You will own the complete sales cycle from initial strategic outreach through contract negotiation and account expansion.
Key responsibilities include: owning a customer account list spanning ISVs, PayFacs, and ISOs with plans for winning and expanding business; establishing and maintaining deep relationships with C-level executives and payments leaders at target partners; developing outbound strategies for software platforms and payment facilitators seeking to embed or scale payment acceptance; identifying, qualifying, developing, proposing, and closing opportunities across submerchant portfolios and PayFac models; building trust throughout the merchant lifecycle from underwriting and boarding to ongoing processing; defining and executing sales strategies that drive profitable growth; and collaborating cross-functionally with operations, product management, and product marketing.
Successful candidates will have 10+ years of sales experience with a track record of top performance, 7+ years selling payments or API products into ISVs, PayFacs, MORs, or ISOs within merchant acquiring, working knowledge of merchant acquiring economics (submerchant underwriting, boarding, PayFac sponsorship models, ISO referral structures), ability to understand complex technical product requirements, experience negotiating legal contracts, strong presentation skills for multi-stakeholder meetings, entrepreneurial and execution-focused mindset, strategic and collaborative approach, and ownership mentality.
