Preply is a unicorn edtech platform (Series D, $150M) that connects 100,000+ tutors teaching 90+ languages to learners across 180 countries. As SEM Manager, you'll lead search engine marketing strategy and execution across Google Ads and Microsoft Ads, driving sustainable growth across global and regional markets. You'll own campaign strategy development aligned with business goals and LTV/CAC efficiency targets. Core responsibilities include managing and automating campaigns across both platforms, with focus on keyword expansion, ad copy testing, landing page optimization, and bidding strategy. You'll design and run rigorous experiments—A/B tests, causal impact studies, geo-based incrementality—to continuously improve ROI and profitability. You'll leverage Looker dashboards and Snowflake data models to measure performance, linking paid acquisition to incremental ROI and cross-channel efficiency. Close partnership with Martech and Data teams ensures tracking reliability and proper attribution. You'll collaborate with Design, Product, and SEO to localize messaging and ensure SEM campaigns reflect brand positioning across markets. Key responsibilities include stakeholder management (defining growth priorities, forecasting performance, communicating learnings), proactive testing of new Google Ads features (AI Max, Smart Bidding, PMax), and synthesizing insights to inform broader marketing and automation strategies. You'll act as a key bridge between paid acquisition and product/business impact. Required: 5+ years SEM experience in B2C high-growth or multi-market environments. Advanced Google Ads knowledge, strong analytical mindset with Looker/data fluency, proven stakeholder management across cross-functional teams. You're technically fluent in tracking and attribution, test-driven with a track record of designing meaningful experiments, and comfortable driving initiatives independently in a fast-paced, data-rich environment.
