Tessl is a Series A AI startup (founded by Guy Podjarny, creator of Snyk) building the context layer for AI coding agents and a platform for AI-native software development. The company has raised over $100M from top-tier investors including Index Ventures, Accel, and GV, and ranked #2 in Sifted's B2B SaaS Rising 100 and #20 in its AI 100 in 2025.
As Developer Advocate, you'll be Tessl's voice in the AI developer community, based in the London office with significant travel to developer events and communities worldwide. This is a hands-on, high-visibility role combining product building, content creation, community engagement, and developer education.
Key responsibilities include: building real applications and integrations with Tessl to demonstrate capabilities; designing and delivering structured learning through Tessl Academy (courses, labs, guided projects, certification paths); creating technical content (articles, tutorials, videos, guides) that help developers understand AI-native development; actively participating in the AI developer community through speaking, podcasts, forums, and social engagement; exploring the AI developer tooling ecosystem to identify integration opportunities; and running webinars and appearing in developer communities (Discord, Slack, Reddit, newsletters, conferences).
You should already be an active voice in the AI developer community with a visible social presence, speak at meetups or conferences, and have a builder's mindset—you'd rather ship a working integration or creative app than just write about one. You need strong communication skills for technical topics, development skills to build and prototype (not necessarily full-time engineer level, but you ship code), and a teacher's instinct for breaking complex AI concepts into progressive learning steps. Nice-to-haves include experience building developer education programs (courses, bootcamps, academies) and familiarity with open-source communities.
