The Security Sales Specialist is a customer-facing business leader responsible for driving cybersecurity transformation across enterprise and public sector organizations. This role combines consultative selling, technical credibility, and business leadership to accelerate adoption of the Microsoft Security platform and deliver measurable customer impact. Key responsibilities include building trusted relationships with CISOs, CIOs, and senior business and technology leaders to help them address complex security challenges and achieve transformation goals. You will lead strategic customer engagements across the Microsoft Security portfolio, positioning security as a driver of business resilience, innovation, and growth. The role requires developing, managing, and closing a healthy pipeline of opportunities to drive revenue growth, new customer acquisition, and account expansion. You will serve as a trusted advisor, translating customer security, compliance, and risk requirements into business-focused solutions and long-term strategies. The position involves leading virtual teams of sales, technical, and partner resources to deliver successful customer outcomes and accelerate deal execution. You'll align Microsoft Security solutions to customer priorities, including cloud modernization, data protection, regulatory compliance, security operations, and AI transformation. Additional responsibilities include building executive-level relationships and influencing decision-making across customer organizations, staying ahead of cybersecurity trends and emerging threats to provide strategic guidance, and collaborating with partners and internal stakeholders to identify opportunities and maximize customer success. You will drive customer adoption and value realization through ongoing engagement, ensuring customers achieve measurable outcomes from their Microsoft investments. Minimum qualifications include 5+ years of solution sales or pre-sales experience in cloud technologies with a focus on cybersecurity, compliance, governance, and risk; or a Bachelor's degree in IT/Computer Science/Business plus 5+ years of relevant experience; or a Master's degree plus 5+ years of relevant experience. Preferred qualifications include demonstrated experience selling enterprise security solutions, experience with competitive security vendors, strong understanding of modern security operations and cloud security concepts, and proven ability to engage senior decision-makers.
