Salary: USD 114,330 - 170,980 / annual
Echodyne is seeking a Security Engineer II to join its fast-growing team in Kirkland, WA. The company develops the world's first compact solid-state true beam-steering radar for autonomous vehicles, uncrewed aircraft, drones, and critical infrastructure security. The technology combines patented metamaterials with powerful software to deliver high-performance radar sensors that work in all weather conditions.
In this role, you will perform secure development work in partnership with engineering teams across the organization. Your responsibilities include running and reviewing security scans across applications, code, dependencies, and supporting systems to identify weaknesses and vulnerabilities. You will triage findings, suggest practical remediation steps, and communicate security improvements clearly to developers.
You will help integrate security checks into the software development lifecycle and delivery pipelines, working to automate security processes where possible. You will track recurring issues and recommend both process and technical changes to improve the overall security posture of the organization.
Required experience includes familiarity with secure software development practices, security scanning tools for code, dependencies, containers, or infrastructure, and working knowledge of common application security risks and secure coding principles. You should be able to assess findings and communicate remediation guidance clearly to development teams.
Desired skills include experience automating security checks in CI/CD pipelines, familiarity with vulnerability management and remediation workflows, and direct experience working with development teams to drive security improvements.
