Teya is a Series C fintech company building a financial platform for local businesses across Europe. The company focuses on simplifying financial services for cafés, restaurants, salons, shops, and entrepreneurs through thoughtful design and genuine support. As a Sales Development Representative (SDR), you will be the first point of contact between Teya and potential merchants. Your primary responsibility is to identify and qualify leads, initiate meaningful conversations, and transform prospecting into real commercial opportunities for the Field Sales team. You will work with a prioritized list of pre-identified, enriched, and classified leads, allowing you to focus on what matters most: having quality conversations, understanding business needs, and identifying genuine opportunities. Your outreach will be primarily phone-based, complemented by email and social media engagement. Key responsibilities include: - Conducting first contact with leads using a clear qualification framework based on business profile fit and timing - Qualifying leads to determine if they are a good fit and ready for a sales conversation - Scheduling qualified merchants directly into Field Sales calendars with at least 48 hours' notice - Ensuring meeting confirmation and sending reminders the day before - Flagging leads with potential but requiring follow-up at a better time - Closing leads that don't fit the profile with clear, honest reasoning - Maintaining accurate CRM records with clear notes and updated statuses Success is measured by the quality and quantity of qualified meetings scheduled and completed, with recognition from Field Sales that opportunities are genuinely relevant. You will learn the market, product, and qualification methodology from day one, with top performers having opportunities to advance into Field Sales roles. Required qualifications include comfort with phone conversations, strong listening skills, organizational consistency, resilience to rejection, proficiency with CRM tools, and fluency in Portuguese. Experience in sales development, fintech, payment solutions, or CRM platforms is valued.
