Salary: USD 125,000 - 135,000 / annual
Artiva Biotherapeutics is a clinical-stage biotechnology company developing natural killer (NK) cell-based therapies for autoimmune diseases. The company's lead product, AlloNK®, is a non-genetically modified, cryopreserved NK cell therapy designed for use in community settings.
As a Scientist I/II in Analytical Development, you will develop and optimize flow cytometry and cell-based assays to support characterization and release of allogeneic NK cell therapies. You will participate in benchtop assay development, method documentation, SOP/report writing, and cross-functional collaboration with R&D and Process Development teams.
Key responsibilities include: contributing to experimental design for assay development and optimization studies; researching and comparing novel analytical platforms; collaborating across analytical development, product development, research, and quality control departments; developing assays for process development, clinical release, and stability testing; executing laboratory experiments to generate high-quality data; contributing to assay qualification and validation; drafting technical reports, SOPs, and test protocols; managing assay transfers to QC and external partners; and presenting findings to cross-functional teams.
Required qualifications: Ph.D. in immunology, microbiology, cell/molecular biology, or biochemistry with 2+ years of industry analytical development experience, OR M.S. with 5+ years equivalent experience. Expertise required in flow cytometry, plate readers, and automated cell counters. Strong organizational, documentation, time management, and communication skills essential.
Highly desirable: ELISA/MSD and qPCR/ddPCR experience; cell potency assay development expertise; NK or CAR-T cell experience; assay qualification/validation experience; statistical programming (JMP). Preferred: analytical development in regulated pharma/biotech (GXP) environments; cell therapy, immunology, or oncology background.
