Alamar Biosciences is building the world's most sensitive proteomics platform for early disease detection, particularly cancer. The company focuses on measuring critical protein biomarkers from liquid samples using highly multiplexed assays with exceptional sensitivity.
As a Scientist in Assay Development, you will join the content development team to advance biomarker detection and quantitation capabilities. You'll work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment on multiple concurrent projects that directly impact life science research and early disease diagnosis.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design and execute experiments to detect and validate new biomarkers
- Perform comprehensive data analysis, interpret results, and ensure robustness, accuracy, precision, specificity, and sensitivity
- Collaborate across functional teams to deliver results on schedule
- Identify and solve technical challenges through systematic research and evaluation of alternatives
- Proactively identify opportunities to enhance product functionality and process efficiency
- Provide technical guidance and training to junior team members
- Develop and document technology requirements, protocols, and standard operating procedures in compliance with industry standards
Required qualifications:
- Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or related field; OR Master's degree with minimum 3 years of industrial experience
- Strong project management skills with a positive, solution-oriented mindset
- Deep knowledge of immunoassay technologies, biomarker discovery, assay prototyping, performance optimization, and control system design
- Experience with emerging reagents and assay development
- Desirable: experience developing multiplex assays or antibody pair development
- Proficiency in data management systems
- Excellent communication skills for multidisciplinary collaboration
- Fluent English (listening, speaking, reading, writing)
