Portcast is a venture-backed logistics technology startup building a real-time transportation visibility platform for global supply chains. The company helps shippers, manufacturers, and logistics service providers turn data into actionable decisions, enabling teams to prevent detention and demurrage, accelerate exception management, and close invoices faster.
This Sales Manager role is a highly autonomous position where you'll own the entire enterprise sales cycle across the Americas, focusing on Freight Forwarders, Logistics Service Providers (LSPs), and Beneficial Cargo Owners (BCOs). You'll report directly to the Sales Director and be responsible for building pipeline, managing complex enterprise opportunities, and closing new customers while establishing Portcast's commercial presence across the region.
Key responsibilities include: owning new business development by identifying and engaging enterprise prospects through outbound prospecting, referrals, partnerships, and industry events; managing the full enterprise sales cycle from prospecting through contract execution; developing trusted relationships with senior stakeholders across operations, supply chain, and procurement teams; building and growing Portcast's presence globally with territory plans and repeatable sales motions; collaborating with Marketing, Product, Solutions, and Customer Success teams; and maintaining disciplined sales processes with accurate CRM hygiene and forecasting.
You'll thrive in this role if you have proven success selling enterprise B2B SaaS solutions with a track record of consistently achieving quota. Full-cycle sales experience is essential—you should be comfortable owning every stage from prospecting through closing complex deals. Experience selling into shippers, BCOs, freight forwarders, or logistics service providers is highly preferred, along with genuine curiosity about supply chains and ability to develop credibility with enterprise buyers.
The ideal candidate has a builder mentality, thriving in startup environments with high ownership and evolving structure. You're comfortable being the only commercial person in your region, proactively solving problems and removing blockers. You ask thoughtful questions, understand operational challenges, and position solutions around business outcomes. You communicate confidently with senior stakeholders, facilitate executive conversations, and negotiate effectively throughout long enterprise buying cycles.
The role offers high ownership of your territory with autonomy to make decisions and shape account strategy. You'll work directly with company leadership and have a meaningful voice in go-to-market strategy. You'll help global manufacturers, shippers, and logistics providers make smarter decisions through AI and real-time visibility technology. The company operates remote-first with a culture built on trust, ownership, and accountability.
