Salary: USD 225,000 - 275,000 / annual
Cyera is hiring a Senior Sales Engineer to drive enterprise cloud data security and AI trust infrastructure solutions. You'll work with Fortune 1000 prospects and clients to architect comprehensive data security and risk management solutions, combining deep technical expertise with consultative selling.
In this role, you'll own large, complex sales opportunities by identifying client business challenges and designing solutions that leverage Cyera's full product suite. You'll deliver proof-of-value engagements, run technical demonstrations with executive stakeholders, and manage cross-functional resources to build repeatable business models. You'll also serve as the technical point of contact for Cyera's growing partner channel and represent the company at marketing events.
You'll need 5+ years in a technical sales role (Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, or similar) with hands-on experience in cloud security, data risk, CASB, DLP, or related domains. Strong knowledge of AWS and/or Azure (roles, permissions, APIs) is essential, along with fundamental networking, database, and data storage expertise. You should understand encryption, key management, cloud IAM, and network design. Familiarity with ML/AI concepts, data regulatory frameworks, privacy programs, and data retention is required.
Excellent communication skills are critical—you'll translate complex technical concepts for both technical and non-technical audiences. You'll use Salesforce for opportunity tracking and need a results-oriented mindset suited to a hyper-growth startup. Travel up to 50% within your assigned territory is expected. Cloud certifications (AWS Cloud Practitioner, Solutions Architect, Security Engineer; Azure Administrator, Security Engineer, Solutions Architect; or CCSP) are highly valued.
