Horizon3.ai is a fast-growing remote cybersecurity company building NodeZero, an autonomous penetration testing platform that helps organizations proactively identify and fix exploitable vulnerabilities before attackers exploit them. The platform scales across internal, external, cloud, and hybrid environments and is used by ITOps/SecOps teams, consulting pentesters, MSSPs, and MSPs ranging from educational institutions to Global 100 enterprises.
As a Sales Engineer, you will be a trusted technical partner in mid-enterprise deals, working closely with Account Executives to help growing organizations understand the technical and business value of NodeZero. You will lead discovery and technical qualification meetings with prospective customers to understand their infrastructure, security maturity, compliance requirements, and risk priorities. You'll deliver tailored, outcome-driven demos and proof-of-value engagements that connect NodeZero's capabilities to customer risk reduction and business impact.
Key responsibilities include maintaining continuity through the customer lifecycle by staying connected with key accounts to track evolving needs and surface expansion opportunities. You'll translate technical depth into business value, helping customers understand not just how the platform works but why it matters—framing results in terms of exposure reduction, compliance alignment, and operational efficiency. You'll own technical deal strategy, navigating objections and competitive positioning throughout the sales cycle.
You'll collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Customer Success, and Product Marketing to ensure field feedback informs roadmap and positioning. You'll contribute to internal knowledge sharing and continuously refine demo flows, technical assets, and playbooks for the mid-market segment. Post-close, you'll stay engaged to ensure smooth technical handoff, reinforce initial value, and maintain executive and practitioner alignment while monitoring adoption, impact, and expansion signals.
Required qualifications include 5+ years as a Sales Engineer or Solutions Architect, ideally in cybersecurity or infrastructure. You must be located in PST and have experience working mid-market and enterprise accounts with a mix of technical depth and executive interaction. Strong understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals (threat landscape, vulnerability management, identity, cloud, Active Directory) is essential. You should be able to simplify complex technical concepts for both practitioners and executives, have experience running structured PoVs and managing technical validation cycles, and thrive in fast-paced, high-growth environments. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience) is required.
