Horizon3.ai is a fast-growing remote cybersecurity company that has built NodeZero, an autonomous penetration testing platform enabling organizations to proactively discover and remediate exploitable vulnerabilities at scale. The platform serves organizations from educational institutions to Global 100 enterprises, used by ITOps/SecOps teams, consulting pentesters, MSSPs, and MSPs.
As a Sales Engineer for Mid-Enterprise accounts in the Southwest region, you will be a trusted technical partner embedded in the sales process, working alongside Account Executives to help mid-sized organizations understand and validate the technical and business value of NodeZero. Your primary responsibilities include leading discovery conversations to understand customer infrastructure, security maturity, and compliance requirements; delivering tailored, outcome-driven demos and proof-of-value engagements; and translating complex security concepts into clear business impact around exposure reduction, compliance alignment, and operational efficiency.
You will own technical deal strategy, navigate competitive positioning and objections, and maintain continuity through the customer lifecycle—from initial discovery through post-close technical handoff. You'll collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Customer Success, and Product Marketing to ensure field feedback shapes roadmap and positioning. You'll also contribute to internal enablement by refining demo flows, technical assets, and playbooks for the mid-market segment.
The ideal candidate brings 5+ years as a Sales Engineer or Solutions Architect, ideally in cybersecurity or infrastructure, with strong experience in mid-market and enterprise accounts. You should have deep cybersecurity fundamentals knowledge (threat landscape, vulnerability management, identity, cloud, Active Directory), the ability to simplify complex concepts for both practitioners and executives, and experience running structured proof-of-value cycles. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent) is required. You must be located in the Southwest region (NV, UT, AZ, CO, NM) and have a minimum 25Mbps broadband connection.
