Datadog is seeking an Enterprise Sales Engineer to join its Tokyo office. In this hybrid role, you will provide technical expertise during customer presentations, product demonstrations, and proof-of-value (POV) evaluations for enterprise clients.
You will work closely with the sales team, technical account managers, customer success managers, and broader account teams to communicate Datadog's value proposition, vision, and strategy to customers. During trial phases, you'll provide technical support to customers, articulate Datadog's value, and collaborate to resolve identified concerns and drive successful implementations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with cross-functional account teams to explain Datadog's overall value and strategy to customers
- Providing technical support during customer trial phases and helping customers understand how Datadog solves their specific problems
- Closing complex deals through deep industry knowledge, technical expertise, and trusted customer relationships
- Delivering product and technical briefings/presentations to prospective customers
- Actively communicating product feedback and competitive insights between customers and Datadog's business and technical teams
You should have 3+ years of sales engineering, pre-sales, or related experience. Required technical skills include hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP; container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes; and proficiency in at least one programming/scripting language (Java, Python, Ruby, Go, Node.js, PHP, .NET, etc.).
