Horizon3.ai is a fast-growing remote cybersecurity company that has built NodeZero, an autonomous penetration testing platform enabling organizations to proactively discover and remediate exploitable vulnerabilities at scale. The platform is used by ITOps/SecOps teams, consulting pentesters, and managed service providers across organizations ranging from educational institutions to Global 100 enterprises. As a Sales Engineer, you will be a trusted technical partner supporting Account Executives in mid-market and enterprise deals. You'll lead discovery conversations to understand customer infrastructure, security maturity, compliance requirements, and risk priorities. You'll deliver tailored, outcome-driven demos and proof-of-value engagements that connect NodeZero's capabilities to measurable business impact—such as exposure reduction, compliance alignment, and operational efficiency. Key responsibilities include: conducting technical qualification and discovery with prospective customers; running structured PoVs and managing technical validation cycles; translating complex security concepts into business value for both practitioners and executives; navigating technical objections and competitive positioning throughout the sales cycle; and maintaining continuity post-close to ensure smooth handoff and identify expansion opportunities. You'll collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Customer Success, and Product Marketing, contributing field feedback to roadmap and positioning decisions. You'll also support internal enablement by refining demo flows, technical assets, and playbooks for the mid-market segment. The ideal candidate has 5+ years as a Sales Engineer or Solutions Architect (ideally in cybersecurity or infrastructure), strong understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals (threat landscape, vulnerability management, identity, cloud, Active Directory), and proven ability to manage mid-market and enterprise accounts with a mix of technical depth and executive interaction. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience) is required. Must be located in the central region of the United States and have minimum 25Mbps broadband.
