Torq is a Series D-backed AI SOC platform company experiencing explosive growth (200% employee growth, 300% revenue growth). We're seeking an experienced Sales Engineer to lead pre-sales strategy and drive technical excellence in the Atlanta metropolitan area. In this hybrid role, you'll be the technical bridge between our sales team and customers, helping prospects understand how Torq's AI-native autonomous SecOps platform solves their security challenges. You'll lead the sales engineering function by establishing best practices, mentoring the SE team, and ensuring alignment with sales methodology and CRM discipline. Key responsibilities include: - Deliver pre-sales technical expertise and compelling demonstrations to Fortune 500 security teams - Lead the SE team in following sales methodology, CRM discipline, and operational excellence - Partner with sales leadership and product teams to drive quarterly/annual targets - Provide technical guidance to the sales team on product capabilities and competitive positioning - Build and manage proof-of-concept environments with measurable success criteria - Represent Torq as a thought leader at industry conferences, forums, and regional events - Collaborate across product, engineering, and customer success to ensure implementations meet expectations - Provide product feedback to inform development roadmap You'll need 5+ years of pre-sales/solutions engineering experience in SaaS security (SecOps, SIEM, SOAR, EDR/XDR, or AI SOC). Deep security domain knowledge is essential. You must have working fluency with agentic AI systems, including multi-agent architectures, reasoning/planning, tool calling, MCP, and prompt engineering. Hands-on experience building demo environments, POCs, and custom workflows using AI tooling is required. You should understand AI trust and governance in enterprise contexts: explainability, audit trails, approval gates, blast-radius limits, reversibility, and data handling. Familiarity with the AI SOC competitive landscape and modern SOC operating models (triage, investigation, case management, MTTD/MTTR) is critical. Technical skills include public cloud (AWS/GCP/Azure) hands-on knowledge, Python/PowerShell/bash, REST APIs, JSON, and webhook-based integrations. Prior experience selling cybersecurity solutions (SIEM, SOAR, EDR/XDR, Cloud Security, Identity, Email Security) is required. You must be based in the Southeast/Atlanta Metropolitan area with regular on-site presence. You'll need outstanding presentation skills for technical and executive audiences, proven ability to manage multiple projects, demonstrated success with Fortune 1000 companies, excellent project management skills, and willingness to travel frequently for events.
