The company has raised $14M from top-tier investors including Y Combinator and operates with a strong founding team (ex-Instagram/Facebook and ex-PEAK6 leaders) now scaling to 20+ employees. As the first Sales Engineer, you'll be the technical bridge between product and enterprise prospects. You'll also serve as the voice of the customer internally, feeding product insights and feature requests back to the engineering team to inform roadmap decisions. Required qualifications: 2–5 years in Sales Engineering, Solutions Engineering, or pre-sales at a B2B SaaS company. Strong technical foundation with comfort discussing APIs, integrations, telephony systems, and cloud infrastructure. Excellent presentation and demo skills with ability to simplify complex products. Quick learner who can translate new technologies into business value. Strong communication skills working across technical and non-technical stakeholders. Nice-to-have: voice/telephony or conversational AI experience; software engineering background or CS degree; early-stage startup experience (Seed through Series B); familiarity with enterprise sales cycles involving security reviews and multi-stakeholder procurement. The role is based in San Francisco with an in-office presence. Compensation includes competitive salary, meaningful equity with employee-friendly terms, health/dental/vision insurance, free lunch and dinner, late-night Ubers, and regular team events.
