Keycard is building identity and access infrastructure for the agent-native era—a foundational platform enabling secure, scalable deployment of AI agents in production. As Sales Engineer, you'll own the technical win end-to-end: from discovery and demos through architecture, security review, and rollout. You'll translate complex identity, policy, delegation, and audit concepts into customer outcomes for both technical staff engineers and CISOs. Your responsibilities include mapping Keycard into complex identity, cloud, policy, SIEM, API, and agent ecosystems; designing and leading high-stakes workshops and pilots; prototyping integrations to unblock evaluation-to-production transitions; and partnering tightly with product and engineering on gaps, patterns, and enterprise readiness. You'll turn first-of-kind customer work into reusable demo assets, technical content, and reference architectures that become the foundation of the SE operating system.
You bring customer-facing technical depth with presence to run the room. You have hands-on ability with APIs, SDKs, OAuth/OIDC, cloud systems, and modern developer workflows, plus fluency in identity or security architecture, distributed systems, or cloud infrastructure. You've navigated enterprise security reviews, proofs of value, and complex integrations. You're a builder with the ability to debug, prototype, teach, and simplify on the fly—moving from whiteboard to code to executive conversation without losing the thread. Extra signal includes hands-on depth with IAM, authorization, token exchange, policy engines, workload identity, MCP, agent tooling, or security architecture.
Keycard is a small, distributed, remote-first team of repeat founders and builders from Snyk, Auth0, HashiCorp, and Heroku. This is a true founding role: you'll create the playbook, shape the product, and set the standard for the team that follows. You'll work at the frontier of agent-native systems with huge autonomy and the opportunity to gain mastery. Compensation includes market-competitive salary, generous equity (4-year vest, 1-year cliff), comprehensive benefits, 4 weeks vacation, and tools to work at the forefront of AI-native workflows.
