Okta is seeking a Sales Development Representative for its San Francisco office to join the sales team and help drive growth in the identity and cybersecurity space. This is a hybrid role requiring 4 days per week onsite (Monday–Thursday) with one remote day.
In this role, you will be the foundation of Okta's sales pipeline. You'll research target accounts and contacts, develop thoughtful outreach strategies using Salesforce, Outreach, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and execute both inbound and outbound prospecting campaigns in collaboration with Marketing and Account Executives. Your primary responsibilities include conducting discovery conversations to understand customer business needs, qualifying leads, and setting up Account Executives for successful sales conversations.
You'll manage your own pipeline and activity metrics—call, email, meeting, and pipeline goals—while maintaining clean, organized data in Salesforce. Cross-functional collaboration is key; you'll work closely with Marketing, Account Executives, and other teams to continuously refine how Okta connects with customers and improves conversion rates.
The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience, with 6–12 months of prior business experience preferred. You should be a strong communicator (written and verbal), self-motivated, goal-oriented, and coachable. Comfort with a fast-paced, evolving environment is essential. Familiarity with sales tools like Salesforce, Outreach, and Sales Navigator is a plus.
