Ramp is building intelligent financial infrastructure for enterprise companies, automating how over $200B in annualized spend flows through 70,000+ organizations. The company handles payment authorization, risk flagging, spend categorization, and financial close processes at scale. As a Sales Development Representative for Mid-Market accounts, you will own the early-stage pipeline development and qualification process for finance leaders. Your responsibilities include building account strategies informed by company context and growth signals, conducting personalized research and multi-channel outreach to finance decision-makers, and qualifying prospects through consultative discovery that connects their workflow challenges to measurable business impact. You will clearly articulate how Ramp's platform simplifies spend management, reduces manual work, and provides visibility and control across financial operations. You'll handle objections with sound judgment, partner with Account Executives on account planning and opportunity sequencing, and maintain accurate data in Salesforce to drive continuous improvement. The role emphasizes using AI and modern sales tools thoughtfully to enhance research, prioritization, and personalization while validating outputs before deployment. You'll take a data-driven approach to diagnosing performance, seeking feedback, and adapting your outreach strategy based on results. Required qualifications include proven SDR/BDR or quota-carrying sales experience with measurable attainment, experience prioritizing accounts and engaging senior/complex buyers, strong written and verbal communication skills, solid discovery and objection-handling fundamentals, and commercial judgment to form viewpoints and adapt based on new information. You should have a builder mindset, practical AI fluency, and genuine interest in building a long-term sales career. Nice-to-have experience includes selling into finance, accounting, operations, or technology teams; B2B SaaS or fintech background; familiarity with Salesforce, sales engagement platforms, or account research tools; and knowledge of finance workflows, expense management, accounts payable, or ERP systems. Prior CPA or audit experience is a strong plus.
