The company is a principal member of Visa and Mastercard, issuing commercial cards in 13 currencies across 32 countries.
As a Sales Development Representative for the DACH region, you will be the engine driving new business opportunities for Pliant. You will own the outbound sales function, responsible for generating qualified pipeline through high-volume cold calling, strategic emailing, and social selling targeting finance leaders and decision-makers in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
Key responsibilities include:
- Driving top-of-funnel activity through outbound prospecting in the DACH market
- Conducting initial discovery calls with prospects to qualify pain points and build business cases for Pliant's platform
- Leading strategic prospecting efforts that go beyond volume—researching prospects, identifying triggers, and crafting personalized outreach
- Partnering with Sales Leadership to refine outbound strategies and test messaging that resonates with the DACH market
- Nurturing relationships with prospects through the early sales funnel
- Staying current with industry trends and maintaining product knowledge relevant to the market
- Representing Pliant as the first point of contact, articulating the value proposition with urgency and professionalism
The role is based in Berlin at Pliant's headquarters with a hybrid work policy.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 1 year of proven experience in a BDR/SDR role, preferably in SaaS or Fintech, with documented success in exceeding monthly or quarterly activity and pipeline targets
- Strategic prospecting ability—research-driven, personalized outreach rather than volume blasting
- Thrives in high-activity, fast-paced environments; understands the importance of speed to lead and volume
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency in CRM software
- Fluent in German and English (verbal and written); additional European languages a plus
- Fintech industry experience is a plus but not essential
