As a Sales Development Representative, you will own top-of-funnel engagement across inbound demo requests, trial sign-ups, and partner-sourced leads. Your primary responsibilities include qualifying prospects through high-quality calls, emails, and messaging; converting free-use and trial users into sales-ready opportunities by understanding their workflows and challenges; and maintaining clean, actionable CRM notes in HubSpot that provide GTM leadership with customer insights and AEs with smooth handoffs.
You will work with Account Executives on discovery and pipeline strategies, actively follow up on no-shows and warm leads to reschedule meetings, and provide feedback on messaging and trial experience to improve conversion rates. The role requires comfort with KPI-driven environments, fast follow-up, and proactive outreach in a dynamic startup setting.
Minimum qualifications include 1–2 years of SDR/BDR or phone-based sales experience with a proven track record of hitting targets. You should be comfortable making 100+ calls per day, have CRM experience (HubSpot preferred), and possess strong written and verbal communication skills. The ideal candidate is highly coachable, bias-for-action oriented, and able to quickly understand prospect workflows to make fast qualification decisions.
Bonus experience includes prior work in trial-to-paid or product-led growth motions, or background selling to SMB or field-service industries such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, locksmith, or construction.
Workiz offers a collaborative environment with emphasis on growth, impactful contributions, and work-life balance. The hybrid model includes 3 days on-site in San Diego (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) and 2 days remote (Monday, Friday).
