As a Sales Development Representative, you'll be the first point of contact for prospective customers, introducing them to Podium's suite of SaaS tools designed to drive foot traffic, manage online reputation, and streamline customer communications. You'll work with boutique retailers, multi-site chains, car dealerships, and other SMBs looking to compete online.
Your responsibilities include:
- Prospecting into industry-specific sectors to generate and qualify leads for the Account Executive team
- Making high-volume outbound cold calls and emails to owners, operators, and decision makers
- Educating prospects on how Podium solves industry-specific challenges (customer reviews, missed messages, SMS marketing)
- Exceeding monthly quotas for qualified demos, pipeline creation, and opportunity generation
- Collaborating with Account Executives to schedule product demos and ensure smooth handoffs
- Managing pipeline activity in Salesforce with accurate data and notes
Ideal candidates have strong outbound sales, door-to-door sales, or call-centre experience. You'll need excellent verbal and written communication skills, a driven and self-motivated attitude, demonstrated success meeting KPIs, and a passion for helping SMBs grow. A learning mindset and coachability are essential.
