Mercury is a fintech platform providing banking, treasury, and financial workflow solutions for startups and technology companies. With over 200,000 customers, Mercury is a profitable, high-growth company on a mission to empower founders and finance teams with advanced tools to build and scale faster. As a Sales Development Representative, you will be the face of Mercury, responsible for identifying and reaching out to potential customers to introduce them to the platform. Your primary responsibilities include conducting research to identify target prospects, developing and implementing outreach strategies in collaboration with the sales team, and executing cold calls, social media, and email prospecting campaigns to generate interest and schedule meetings. You will qualify leads to ensure they align with Mercury's ideal customer profile, build relationships with prospects to understand their needs and pain points, and schedule meetings with the sales team. You'll track and report on sales metrics and pipeline activity to measure your impact. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on hitting targets and metrics, with aspirations to become a top-performing salesperson. You should be resilient—hearing "no" motivates rather than discourages you—and maintain relentless optimism and energy. You're a people person with excellent communication skills who can explain complex ideas with clarity and precision. You're a hustler with a proven track record of achieving and exceeding goals, creative and tenacious in finding innovative ways to reach customers, and a team player comfortable in fast-paced, dynamic environments. A passion for fintech and interest in learning about companies with complex technical products are essential. The role requires 1+ year of experience in sales, business development, or equivalent. Experience in e-commerce sales/business development is a bonus. Mercury values diversity and belonging and is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer.
