GrayMatter Robotics is a well-capitalized Physical AI company building Factory SuperIntelligence through autonomous robotic systems for manufacturing. The company operates a Robots-as-a-Service (RaaS) model, delivering AI-driven robotic cells that autonomously adapt to new parts and processes without reprogramming—a significant shift from traditional robotics that required hundreds of engineering hours per part.
As a Strategic Sales Development Representative, you will build and scale GMR's outbound sales engine from the ground floor. This is a builder role that sits within the Marketing team and creates qualified opportunities for Account Executives. You'll develop deep product knowledge and map GMR's capabilities to unique manufacturing processes across industries, then engage prospects consultatively to understand their business challenges before pitching solutions.
Key responsibilities include: developing a voracious understanding of GMR's products and their application across different manufacturing verticals; conducting consultative prospect engagement to map business objectives against solutions; building and running high-volume, multi-channel outreach (cold calling, personalized email, social media) using AI-enabled tools; emphasizing in-person selling at tradeshows and conferences; booking appointments and demos while maintaining accurate prospect records; providing feedback on lead quality and campaign effectiveness to continuously evolve the outbound strategy.
The role rewards fast, curious learners who can move from product mechanics to industry-specific value in a single conversation. You'll be expected to think outside the box, test new tactics, and systemize what works. Success is measured by results and deal quality, not call volume.
Minimum qualifications include evidence of persuasion and outreach skill from any arena (launching a brand, debate, fundraising, organizing); excellent verbal and written communication; 6+ months operating effectively in ambiguous, low-context roles; ability to incorporate structured feedback in real time; experience in fast-paced, high-growth environments; strong time management and collaboration skills; resilience through rejection; and US work authorization.
Preferred: 1-2+ years in sales-oriented roles (SDR, BDR, or AE) with strong outbound prospecting track record; bilingual Spanish fluency.
